Jesuit Academy Appoints New President

Jesuit Academy, a Catholic, Jesuit school, proudly announces the appointment of President elect Bradley Ekwerekwu, Ph.D. Bradley will be the fifth President of Jesuit Academy, following Deacon Mike Masek, who served in this role for 6 years. Bradley will begin in his role on January 2, 2024, where he will work along-side of Mike Masek to ensure a smooth transition and then fully assume the role on April 1, 2024.  With an unwavering commitment to fostering faith development, academic achievement, and community engagement, Jesuit Academy continues to advance its mission under the leadership of Bradley Ekwerekwu.

As an all-boys Catholic, Jesuit middle school, Jesuit Academy has been a pillar of strength in North Omaha for 27 years, nurturing young minds and empowering students to excel in faith, academics and personal growth. The appointment of Bradley Ekwerekwu reflects the school's dedication to providing inspirational leadership that resonates with the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its student body.

Bradley Ekwerekwu brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in education leadership. Prior to joining Jesuit Academy, Bradley served as the Chief Executive Officer at Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovative thinking, and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

In accepting the position, Bradley expressed his enthusiasm for joining Jesuit Academy and the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of young hearts and minds in an all-boys middle school setting. He emphasized his dedication to fostering a culture of academic excellence, faith formation, and community service.
