On Tuesday, Jesuit Academy students in grades 4, 5, and 6 visited the Joslyn Art Museum for a tour of the Native American and Western Art Collection. While there, they were also able to see the exhibit currently on display, Marks of Genius: 100 Extraordinary Drawings from the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Thank you to the Joslyn Art Museum and the wonderful docents who led the tours!

Throughout the school year, the Creighton University EDGE Program works with students at Jesuit Academy on a variety of topic areas. Meeting once per semester with each grade, topics include study habits, a strength and skills assessment, preparing for high school, and wellness. Today's topic for the 4th grade class was the how, when, and why of study skills. As part of the activity, each student receives a study buddy teddy bear. Thank you to the EDGE Program for their partnership and support! At Jesuit Academy, grandparents are very important to us. To celebrate the role they play in the lives of students at Jesuit Academy, we annually host the Grandparents Luncheon. On Friday, we celebrated this special day with a delicious Thanksgiving lunch for students and their families. We're so grateful for all of the support our students receive! Please note that all photos will be sent to the addresses listed on the envelopes that attendees filled out. It's Men for Others lunch day! These young men were selected as the Men for Others winners during the fourth quarter of last school year and the first quarter of this school year - one young man won in both! Students enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mama's Pizza Omaha. We are very proud of the work these students are doing every day at Jesuit Academy. Congratulations!
One young man in each grade is recognized each quarter as the Men for Others recipient. The recipient portrays a strong commitment to the Graduate at Graduation principles of being Loving, Open to Growth, Religious, Intellectually Competent, and Committed to doing Justice. |
