Today was Men for Others lunch day! These five outstanding young men were awarded the Men for Others award last quarter, which is the highest honor given each quarter to one student in each grade who best exemplifies the Graduate at Graduation principles. Today's lunch was held at Dinker's, where everyone enjoyed their famous burgers. The group was also excited to welcome Ms. Freeman to the lunch, who serves breakfast and lunch everyday at Jesuit Academy. Also joining the lunch were Mr. Hoy, President, Mr. Wharton, Principal, and Ms. Corbett, Development. Great job gentlemen!

The Jesuit Academy 6th grade class would like to send a big thank you to author Joyce Hansen! After reading the first two books in the 163rd Street trilogy, the class wrote to Ms. Hansen with praise for the books and questions for her. Ms. Hansen took the time to respond to each student letter and sent the entire class a copy of the third book in the trilogy - how incredible! The class is pictured outside of Jesuit Academy with their new books. Thank you so much Ms. Hansen! http://www.joycehansen.com/bio.htm On Saturday, 8th graders from Jesuit Academy participated in the 16th Annual African American History Challenge at North High School. Although they did not take home a victory, we are very proud of the time and energy they put in over the last four months studying for the event. Job well done to these students and to coach Mr. Franklin! |
